under the stairs is where these cute kittens have made there home

Once a year we find kittens under our stairs. They usually go the day we find them. However this group has stayed a few days. They are very wild and the kids have been scared but facinated by them. The first one to imerge we called brave heart since it was the bravest one to venture out. The second one that came out we called socky since it had white spots on its feet. The third one was a copper/black mix and we couldn't come up with a name for it. Today we heard one crying a lot and went to check things out and sure enough it was all alone. I tried to coax it out and feed it so we could catch it and then noticed a very large cat acrossed the street watching us. I think it was the mom. anyway, the one who stayed was brave heart and the kids were estatic to see it come out further and further looking for its family but they thought it was coming out to play. To me its the only way to have a pet, they show up grow where we can't see them and then go on there own way when they are big enough to go. They are very cute and tempting to keep but way to wild. My ten year old picked up one and it turned on her hissing and tried to bit and scratch. I am glad no one got hurt.

Very cute, and good job Kiersten! I agree, kittens are cute but no fun when they grow up, haha.

Aaaww! So sweet. I wish we could have kitties. But no. Kids are enough to deal with.
